Facilitator - Katrina Nicol
Knowing I can help members of my community communicate amongst their peers without intimidation or fear is a great feeling.
All things equine has been in my blood since birth. New Zealand raised on a Harness racing farm in Oamaru. We bred and trained pacers and trotters. I attended Pony club. I knew from a very young age the profound effect horses have when present with them.
Katrina has a background working directly with youth from running school holiday program to employment services and is currently working as a disability support worker where she supports young children with ASD as well as adults requiring social interaction.
Katrina is certified Tramua Informed coach , Horses Helping Humans and Horse powered reading programs and holds a Diploma in Animal Assisted Therapy, Certified Equine Interaction Experience Practitioner. Katrina has a background in finance, and is a professional human and equine bodyworker.
